Your Platform Is PLG-Ready. Is Your SMS Provider?

You’ve built a product-led platform designed for speed: sign up, onboard, activate, convert. But the second a user wants to start sending messages… the whole thing hits a wall.

To send just one message, your customer must:

  1. Be vetted by you (the ISV)
  2. Register as a Brand with The Campaign Registry (TCR).
  3. Register each of their messaging use cases as Campaigns with TCR
  4. Get those Campaigns vetted and approved by a DCA, and wait for the green light.

This process can take days or even weeks depending on how your provider handles (or ignores) it. And all the while, your user is sitting there wondering why your platform isn’t working.

Your users don’t know—or care—about TCR.

They’ve never heard of DCAs.

But when messages don’t send, they blame you.

And that’s what makes this such a growth killer.

Most Providers Aren’t Built for This

The messaging space is full of legacy providers that weren’t designed to support such a regulated channel like A2P 10DLC. They’ll give you the API, but everything after that—compliance, vetting, deliverability management—is on you.

You’re stuck figuring it out while your users churn.

  • No registration visibility. You can't see why a Campaign is stuck in review.
  • No throughput controls. Your customers are hitting carrier rate limits with no warning.
  • No proactive compliance guidance. Your team has to become the messaging police overnight.
  • No support. When something breaks, you're back in a ticket queue.

And worst of all? Your customers think you dropped the ball.
