What is Hosted Messaging? 

Hosted Messaging AKA Hosted SMS allows you to either migrate over or enable SMS & MMS messaging services on your existing application-to-person (A2P) phone numbers. 

In other words, if you’re really happy with your provider’s voice services but want better messaging services, you can stay with your current provider for voice and have your messaging hosted by another provider on those very same numbers concurrently.
